What is it ?

Spirulina

Spirulina is a blue-green microalgae used as a food source.

It is a Superfood rich in nutrients, including proteins, vitamins, and minerals. It also contains three antioxidant pigments: chlorophyll (green), beta-carotene (pink-orange), and phycocyanin (blue).

Phycocyanin

Phycocyanin is the blue gold of spirulina! It is a unique blue pigment-protein with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties widely recognized by the scientific community.

In vitro and in vivo studies have shown its benefits for cellular health, immune system resilience, and athletic performance.

Spirulina has been considered the best food for the future by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the United Nations.

History of Spirulina

Spirulina is part of the cyanobacteria that appeared approximately 3 billion years ago. These marine microorganisms were responsible for releasing oxygen into the atmosphere, thus enabling the emergence of life on Earth as we know it.

It is known that the Aztecs used to make dried spirulina cakes, which they consumed as a fortifying food during long marches spanning several hundred kilometers. More recently, the populations around Lake Chad managed to escape the Sahelian famine in the early 1970s. By consuming their homemade spirulina, they were able to maintain their muscle mass and essential nutritional intake.

These remarkable properties caught the attention of the scientific community. Today, spirulina is widely consumed as a dietary supplement to enhance overall health, boost immunity, benefit from its antioxidant and anti-aging properties, and improve athletic performance. Space agencies such as ESA and NASA also include spirulina in their research and development programs.

Spirulina sourced from Brittany

Our French spirulina is cultivated in Brittany, in a marine farm on the Atlantic coast, and it is free from herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, and GMOs.

To achieve superior quality, our spirulina biomass is neither dried nor transformed into powder. The integrity and quality of its natural compounds are preserved through a patented cold extraction process, without the use of solvents, resulting in a liquid form.

In the laboratory, leveraging research in marine biotechnology, we produce a concentrated liquid extract of spirulina that contains its main natural compound, phycocyanin, along with the entire water-soluble fraction of spirulina. This is how Spirulina Water was born! This bioactive concentrate acts as a powerful immune system booster and has been the subject of extensive clinical studies to demonstrate its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory efficacy.

We have developed and patented an innovative industrial process to capture all the qualities of Spirulina Water in a bottle.
